'Cause I followed my star
And that's what you are, I've had a merry time with you
Pockets. That was his answer for everything. "Maybe you could make me a pair of jeans with these special pockets," she remarked, laughing. It didn't surprise her that he carried a magnifying glass around. She did sometimes wonder what he hide in those giant pockets of his, however. He always seemed to carry the oddest pieces of equipment. A magnifying glass was pretty tame in comparison to some of things she'd seen him whip out during a crisis.
Rose gazed at the spider inside the glass, and then at The Doctor. "Wait-" she began, a hundred questions running through her head at once. But The Doctor was already off, striding back the way they came. Rose hurried along beside him, instinctively curling her arm around his as they fell into step. The Doctor stopped suddenly, making Rose stop too as she handed him the jar.
"So hang on," Rose began, running a hand through her long blonde hair. "You're telling me someone planted this spider here? They made him like this? But why? How?" She looked down at the spider inside the glass, feeling immensely sorry for it. "It wasn't a coincidence that we came across him, was it?" Rose commented gravely. "Someone put him here for us. They knew you were coming."
Rose looked to the sky, thinking. "It could be anyone... Someone who knew you'd go here, someone who knew you well..." Rose felt like she was looking for a needle in a haystack. "We need to find more clues," she decided, turning back to look at The Doctor. She couldn't help but find him more attractive with those silly glasses on, knowing full well he didn't need them. "There must be something around here that'll lead us in the right direction."
