The Master's Daughter - OPEN
As is stated in the Master's history, he has claimed to have had a daughter at multiple points in his life, though the details notably change between incarnations. Despite the vagueness and inconsistency of this character, I would love to see the Master's daughter actually be a character that is in play. Due to the nature of her she is incredibly open to whoever decides to take her up. I would primarily like to see her based off of Douglas Adams' ideas, which can be seen here. In other words, she has likely taken after the Master to some degree in that she commits grand schemes/crimes and has a questionable moral compass (perhaps even the sort that morally questionable individuals are prone to questioning). What I do not want to see is this character being rooted in any daddy issues cliches. As I will note I would prefer that the Master was not entirely absent as a parent- thus explaining why he even has memories and rather specific ones- a suggestion I have is that her upbringing could be heavily contrasted with how the Doctor was with his own family (as all things tend to be between the Doctor and the Master), perhaps allowing for something quite complicated. She does not have to be a Time Lady, but it is required that she was not born recently. At the latest, she could be an unspoken product of his marriage with Lucy. At the earliest, his memories could be entirely correct and she was born sometime after he graduated from the Academy. Either way, what should be taken into account is that how she is born might be a bit complicated depending on when you decided it would have happened. If the Master is correct, she would have either been born through a loom or some other method (as Pythia's curse would have still been in place so a natural birth isn't happening or at least INCREDIBLY unlikely). Pythia's curse lifted during the Doctor's seventh incarnation but I don't really see the Master being able to have children until his Roberts incarnation. |
Companion | |
Master's Traveling Companion
I would really like to find a companion for the Master. Due to the nature of this incarnation being one who is a middle ground, so to speak, to becoming who Missy is and who the previous incarnation denied, I imagine that the Master having a companion would really cement the image of someone who is slowly beginning to accept that his path is "tied" to the Doctor's. Due to the nature of this ad, I must insist that whoever may be interested in this does reach out to me. While there is a fair amount of wiggle room, it must be noted that the Master is someone who has primarily traveled alone. Unlike the Doctor, there is a notable theme that when the Master takes on a companion there is generally a negative theme to the relationship. This does not change even if it turns out he might like the person. If anything, it may be all the worse. I'd personally like the Master's companion to actually be someone he either is fond of or has reason to grow fond of, as opposed to someone he may be aiming to use. The latter could be due to something as simple as his TARDIS appearing to be fond of a particular individual, as past incarnations of him have proven to be willing to take on companions because of his TARDIS' attitude towards them. Personality-wise, things are fairly open. However, the person should be something along the lines of cunning or intelligent. The Master, as a whole, is not meant to be someone who is fond of fools, no matter the species, and I do not see him growing close or being close to someone who he could have an easy reason to view as such. This isn't to say they have to be a genius. If anything, it could just be someone who is capable of outwitting others. Species wise, this is entirely open. This individual could even be a human! To some extent, I would encourage it since the Master appears to, even over regenerations, have a habit of taking on humans as companions instead of aliens (something that might be rooted in something deep he's carried over regenerations). However, that is not a requirement. I am only looking for one companion. |
Ailla | |
The Master'S First Companion
Mentioned in his application, Ailla is a Time Lady who had begun traveling with the Master while he was still going by the name Koschei. She was specifically part of the Celestial Intervention Agency and had been sent to spy on him. As a result, a great deal of what she told him was a lie, as can be seen in how she had successfully managed to convince him she was a human from the 28th century. It is heavily implied that during their time Koschei became quite close to Ailla and grew to care for her as she was shot on the Darkheart and eventually regenerated. Koschei, still believing she was dead, would go on to destroy an entire planet in an attempt to learn how to manipulate time so that he could learn how to change history. Unfortunately, when she reappeared, this would prove to be the breaking point, her betrayal beginning to rid him of whatever good might have still been left, turning Koschei truly into the Master. As there isn't much on Ailla she is largely up to whoever decides to take her to shape. I would absolutely love to see her in play since this would be such an interesting relationship to play out! |
