The warehouse seemed somehow even grimmer in the darkness. Outside, the storm was howling but that didn't seem to deter the Doctor in the slightest.
The doors of the TARDIS were wide open, a golden light emitting from the battered Police Box as if it were a beacon. From within, the faint humming of the console can be heard alongside the rustling of tools.
"You know... whatever is feeding off the energy from this plant, is already at working trying to get through the defences of the old girl." he began as his long slender fingers traversed from one tool to another. The Doctor still had no idea whatsoever, what the source of these power fluctuations were but deep down, there was something familiar about this entire situation.
He tutted, realising that he couldn't find his Ganymede Driver. "Typical..." he sighed as he looked over to Sarah.
"It's one disaster to another."

The sound of the storm echoed through the warehouse as she leaned out of the TARDIS. Sarah Jane would never stop being amazed by finding out what was outside that magical blue door after they had landed. In they'd gone from the Doctor's office at UNIT, and after a brief strange flight, that door would open up to just about anywhere. Anytime. The excitement left her heart a-pound as she and the Doctor flew from one story to the next. Though they were inside, the space was large and drafty enough that the storm wind teased wisps of short brown hair against broad pale cheekbones. Lightning struck, it's instant of brightness leaking through the seams of the building. in that flash, the large wooden boxes and odd shapes shrouded that had only hinted themselves in the thrown light of the TARDIS, were revealed in a sudden sharper relief. The following crack of thunder made her draw back inside the doors. Well, that and the Doctor's musings she could hear in his cultured voice as he lingered inside the warm, bright space of the TARDIS. The Doctor. That fascinating fellow who not only seemed to be able to accomplish just about anything with or without his mind boggling contraption that looked rather impossibly like a police call box on the outside, but also was willing to tote her around from one breaking news story to another. She journaled each one down, even though she knew anyone but UNIT would think her completely mad if they read it. Feeling quite ready for adventure in her sturdy brown suit and a stout pair of leather boots, Sarah Jane turned blinking into the bright TARDIS and went quickly to the Doctor's side where he was rummaging about amongst a myriad of mechanical oddbits, only a few of which she recognized as being from her own place and time. She went right to his elbow and looked over at his handsome old face as he rummaged through his gadgets. "Disaster?" Sarah Jane asked with a frown. "Can I help?" The Third Doctor

The central column of the console now began to dim as more power was being slowly sapped away from the TARDIS. The force was becoming stronger as every second passed and the Doctor knew that if he couldn't find the source of this malevolent power drain, then even his ship could be reduced to nothing but a husk. "If I can erect temporal shielding around the Eye of Harmony... it should act as a poison for whatever is draining her power source Sarah... however, majority of my tools have been misplaced..." he sighed as he answered her. Outside a creature shrouded in shadows watched the strange blue box which stood in a corner of the warehouse. It's neck tilting as it studied the sign across the box. sarah jane smith

Sarah Jane pressed her lips together, holding back quip. If the Doctor's tools were out of place, it was pretty clear who had misplaced them. It wasn't as if she'd been mucking about with his things. There was no denying that the Doctor was the smartest person she'd ever met. He was even smarter than her Aunt Lavinia, however every now and then he was the very portrait of an absent minded professor. Sarah Jane knew she was no slouch in the brains department either, but it wasn't as if she knew the difference between the Eye of Harmony and a bread box. She turned and leaned against the wall, watching the lights in the white control room flicker, dim, lighten then sputter again. The TARDIS was really struggling. She'd seen the Doctor do wonders with Bessie after a rough adventure or two, though, and surely he could fix the TARDIS just as well. Being a much better Investigative reporter than a mechanic, she decided to go have a look about. "Well, maybe the answers are outside the TARDIS instead of inside, eh? I'm going to go have a poke." She pushed herself away from the wall, pulled the tiny torch out of her pocket and headed for the door with her boot heels clicking on the hard floor. The Third Doctor
