A whole lot of running to do "This cannot be happening."Jenny uttered under her breath, as she felt the whole ship shuddering. The smoke from some sort of explosion hade faded, and now people had begun panicking. Trying to find some sort of sanctuary, despite the fact they were trapped in a large hunk of metal hurtling through space. Jenny heard a worker speaking over the intercom, trying to keep people calm to no avail. Sighing, she shoved her way past someone, barreling towards the front of the ship. She was just as stranded here as everyone else, but she wanted answers. Wanted to know why this was happening. Her curiosity got the best of her, she admitted. Trying to navigate the sea of panicking guests was the most difficult part. People shoved here and there, scrambling to find somewhere safe.Stepping into one of the empty hallways, she took a deep breath, placing one hand over her hearts. Glancing at her wrist, her eyes danced across the large, watch-like accessory. She could just... go. Leave, and try her luck elsewhere. But no, this was her only lead toward the Doctor, she had to take it. She'd tracked him this far.But right now, her priority was to make sure she didn't go down with the ship. Or rather, make sure the ship didn't go down at all, and why one of the safest space cruisers known was malfunctioning was unknown to her. But one step at a time. First step, discover what was going wrong. Made by ChocoChipCookee

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧ It was not uncommon to find the Master among chaos. The Time Lord seemed to almost be attracted to it, something that could easily be blamed on the fact that he was often the one causing it. It was likely natural. After all, an individual who saw himself as the master of all was unlikely to be doing anything peaceful and that had always been the case for himself. The only difference between now and the past was that at some point both his methods and the future he desired to create had drastically changed.
Yet, today seemed to be a bit different. Today, it appeared that he was the one who was in a bit of trouble. As the ship shuddered from an explosion, the room shifted a bit. The Master stayed impassive despite the fact he was clearly tied up, something that could not be said of nearly everyone else. The captain, who was in a similar state, appeared to be growing even more worried and their captors- mere thugs- looked even more so. Something had clearly gone wrong.
A mocking smile crossed his face. "Everything not going according to plan, gentlemen?" As polite as he appeared to be, there was a certain bite to his tone that gave away that he knew the answer already.

A whole lot of running to do Jenny's steps took her further and further down an unknown hallway. In the chaos, guards and staff had been shifted to calm the panicking crowd, perhaps even break up desperate attempts at emergency teleport. The hectic surroundings gave Jenny just enough of a window to slip into the back rooms, where an eerie quiet laid. She could still hear the screams outside, but they were muffled now. Taking a few steps forward, she froze as she heard voices. "Shut up! Things are going fine."
Even from her distance, she could hear the bluff in his voice. A few more quiet steps bringing her closer, she could just overhear the exchange. "Someone page Hero and tell him to get his ass back here. The less time I can spend around this guy, the better." Shortly, footsteps coming in her direction followed. Biting her lip and holding her breath, she looked around for a quick hiding spot. Finding none, she realized she'd have to stand her ground and fight. She'd only heard two voices within the room, but there was really no telling how many there would be. The only advantage she truly had was the element of surprise. So the moment the door started to swing open, she made her decision. Charging, she saw the man's eyes widen at her sudden appearance, and the first thing her eyes connected with was his gun. Before he had time to recover his wits, she wrenched the weapon away, shoved the butt of it into his nose, then put some distance between them as she raised the gun up. "Don't move!" came her warning. He cautiously raised his hands, freezing in place, nose bleeding if not broken. Now that she could more fully take stock of the room, she nodded her head up.
"Back up. Slowly." She tacked the last part on, as she walked with him. As she suspected, there was a surprising amount of people in the room, but none of them seemed prepared for her arrival. "Drop your weapons. Shoot me and your buddy gets it," she warned, though deep down she knew it was an empty threat. But fortunately, they didn't. Now that she had control of the situation though, she really wasn't sure what she was going to do with it. She had no clue what she was even trying to stop, so hopefully she could finesse her way into some information. Her eyes were drawn to the Captain, only identifiable by his clothing. Turning her attention to one of the thugs closer to him, she motioned with the gun.
"Untie them, now. Or I'll... destroy this whole operation."

❧ Completely unapologetic, a dark chuckle escaped the Time Lord. Fools. Denial often was what the weak turned to when all was lost. He imagined they would tell themselves everything was fine even as it became harder to deny they were going to die. "Of course," he drawled, clearly catching the bluff, "It isn't as if things are exploding or anything." Something which had notably only happened after they had seized control. Considering they all were not here, even a moron could have pieced together that these thugs were the reason the ship was failing.
His attention quickly drifted as the group began to gripe among themselves. He felt it before he saw it. It would have been impossible not to. After all, it was easy to recognize the presence of another Gallifreyan as they were all connected. There was, though, something different though. Fainter, perhaps?
The person who entered was not someone he immediately recognized.
Apathetically, he watched as one was caught off guard and disarmed. Unsurprisingly, the situation seemed to almost immediately turn despite how outnumbered she was. At least, for the most part. After all, they seemed quite hesitant to follow any commands.

A whole lot of running to do When her threats were met with apathetic silence, Jenny inwardly began to squirm. Though she'd come in guns blazing, she was quickly losing control. From her calculations, she had roughly ten seconds before the realized she wasn't who she presented herself as. Mustering the loudest voice she had, she bellowed a "NOW!"
For good measure, a warning shot was aimed to the left of the man. That at least startled him somewhat, and she moved further into the room. As she scanned the people currently in the room, her eyes lingered on one of the hostages in the middle. Perhaps a bit too long, but something about him seemed... off. It didn't dawn on her for a moment, as she pulled her eyes away, and continued pushing into the room. She felt like a child, puffing herself up to be much more intimidating than she was. But between her military-looking clothing, and the expert way she wielded the gun, she hoped it would be mostly convincing.
"On the ground, now."
Her eyes turned back to this mystery-staff, and in the brief moment of eye-contact she realized why he stood out. Unlike the others, he didn't seem terrified, or upset, or even really inconvenienced at being taken hostage. Perhaps this was the deciding factor, as she chose to free him first. Or at least, attempt to free him, without their captors getting the best of her. Pulling a knife from her boot, she would be as quick as possible in slicing his bonds, all the while keeping one hand on her weapon. This left her pretty open, and she knew it, she just hoped she would be fast enough. And that she made the right decision in freeing this man.

❧ At the heart of it, the entire situation was barely even an inconvenience to the Master. Chaos was something he seemed to thrive well in and did even better to create. Moreover, the Time Lord had been in much worse situations than being captured by a couple of amateurish thugs by accident. He had fought battles, some going as far back to his youth before the Master was a name anyone remotely feared and the name Koschei was something he still allowed to linger on the lips of others. It could hardly be called arrogance for him to not be worried about this at all when he likely had the ability to escape this situation with ease. After all, he seemed to have a rather uncanny ability to slip through even death's fingers.
As a result, he didn't look to surprised when things seemed to spiral towards something more violent. Silently, he was curious as to whether the woman would follow through on her threats if pressed. It was just a touch difficult to tell. She seemed to be going through all the motions, almost as if they were natural. However, he was perceptive enough to catch that there was hesitation.
It was good she was dealing with idiots. The warning shot seemed to kick the man into action to release the captain while the others followed orders, albeit reluctantly so. He could feel eyes boring into him. Whether it was because the group had caught that something was just off about the Master in their time with him or they had genuinely been given reason to worry, some of them didn't look entirely happy as she had moved towards him and let him free.
The Master carefully stood once he was let free, taking just a moment to absently smooth out any wrinkles in his clothes. "Thank you," he said. While the edge that had been in his voice was notably gone, the words still managed to just sound polite and not quite kind.
